(2) The Desktop version of WebServices is convenient for WebServices developers because it does not require a web server computer or server operating system for design and testing of a WebServices application and can interact with the desktop using the local user's credentials.
(3) The production WebServices server does not require Microsoft IIS or a Microsoft Windows Server operating system.
(4) Effective use of the WebServices product generally requires consultation between the customer/developer and the APLNext product team to determine the appropriate deployment. The production license costs illustrated may not apply to all situations, especially where WebServices is supporting an application with an anticipated high transaction throughput or which is strategic for the customer. In addition to production license(s) for WebServices, one or more WebServices developer licenses are required.
