(2)   A client access license (CAL) is used to provide an end-user access to an application system or component developed with the Array-based Numerical Programming Tools.  One CAL is required for each end-user of an application system or component developed with the Array-based Numerical Programming Tools.

        The desktop license provides one CAL for the developer, who is deemed to be the end-user. This CAL applies to the single-user computer on which the licensed developer version of the Array-based Numerical Programming Tools software has been installed.

        The professional license provides an unlimited number of CALs for end-users who are employees, leased employees or full-time consultants, of the immediate business entity that obtained the Array-based Numerical Programming Tools license, in the country for which the professional license was obtained.

        The enterprise license applies to those busines entities which use the Array-based Numerical Programming Tools to

  • Develop application systems or components which are used multi-nationally
  • Develop application systems or components which are licensed to the general public
  • Maintain time-sharing application systems which are licensed to the general public
  • Operate a service bureau which provides services to the general public

        The professional and enterprise license cost is determined in consultation with the licensee and considers the anticipated transaction throughput and potential strategic nature of the software product or services which are developed with the Array-based Numerical Programming Tools.
