Visual APL provides
significant support for legacy []wi (Windows Interface)
Integration
with Visual Studio means you can create Windows Application using the Windows Designer
in Visual Studio. But we also have significant support for the legacy []wi Windows
Interface to help with your application upgrade to .Net
Visual APL provides the Windows Interface plug-in which provides significant support
for the features of the legacy []wi
Most of what you know about creating and using forms using []wi has been brought
forward in the Windows Interface plug-in for Visual APL.
Building applications which are managed and secure are one of the primary focuses
of .Net
When you build a DLL or other assembly which does not require a windows interface,
there is no reason for your application to request access to the Windows subsystem
in .Net
Having the []wi available as a plug-in means that your application only needs to
request access if your application specifically has a windows interface.
Your dll's or other assemblies which need to meet the security of an IT environment
which does not permit access to the window subsystem is fully supported.
Visual APL also supports the Windows Designer in Visual Studio so you can easily
build windows applications using the latest tools and WYSIWYG designer from Microsoft.
